Anti-discrimination buttons

Jean Augustine discusses the Let's stop racism button.

TRANSCRIPT
I was big on the anti-racism buttons, because I felt that they gave clear messages and I must tell you that the Canadian Labour Congress and many of the unions all stood very firmly on the anti-racism theme. And I think they need to get credit on ensuring that the message-- that racism must be stopped. And as a minister of multiculturalism at the time, we used to run a program to stop racism, we can stop racism. And have kids come up with the messages in 3-4 minutes on a video. And if you remember, we used to have lots of things with the hands like "Stop Racism, Stop It!"
