Greek Canadians and the Toronto Telegram

Major moments within the Greek-Canadian community of Toronto during the twentieth century were documented by newspaper photographers of the Toronto Telegram.

This exhibit will give you a sneak peek of some of the historical images drawn from over 1.4 million photographic prints and negatives held by York University's Archives & Special Collections.

Visitors are encouraged to comment on images and provide additional context and description.  If you recognize someone, let us know, and we'll add it to the description!

These images will eventually be incorporated into York University's online digital repository YorkSpace.  You can browse over 6,000 digitized images from the Toronto Telegram here.
