Mariposa : celebrating Canadian folk music : About the project

The Archives

The Mariposa Folk Foundation archival fonds is made up of over 120 metres (more than 350 boxes) of archival material in various formats, including analog and digital sound recordings, video, textual records, photographs, posters, ephemera and objects such as banners, buttons, t-shirts and promotional water bottles.

Archival staff have been working diligently to sort and arrange these materials and develop a searchable finding aid that will assist researchers in identifying and accessing relevant documents.

As of June 2010, archival staff, along with student assistants, have listed over 100 boxes of artist submission files, 10 boxes of programs and promotional material and 8 boxes of photographs.

Check back regularly to see new inventories and finding aids as they are completed and uploaded to our website!
